Motivating Short Stories

Jamie focused mainly on her career so that she could prove to those who made fun of her what her worth was. Jamie was the first in her family to go to the city to get a better education. When her cousins were focusing on their family owned farms and small businesses, Jamie’s parents dreamed big. They knew that sending Jamie to a good college in the city would help her gain a great job and help her have a better future with more financial stability.  However, things took an ugly turn when her cousins began earning soon after their high school while Jamie was still focusing on her graduation. Many family members began mocking Jamie as a foolish girl who focused on wasting her parents' hard earned money.  Jamie successfully completed her graduation while working part time in a cafe located near her hometown.  Moby’s father, Joseph, decided to look into the machinery to repair it by himself and was able to resolve the issue. Moby was shocked and asked how his father knew about machines. Joseph told him about how his hobby was to work around repairing old stuff and how he had once helped his friend to repair his truck.  Moby apologized to his father for buying used machinery without his consent. Joseph was glad that Moby had learnt his lesson and accepted the apology. Moby worked hard with Joseph and harvested almost double the crops they had harvested the previous year. Both Moby and Joseph were happy. Joseph told Moby that it doesn't matter the amount of crops they had harvested but the taste and quality of the produce is what takes the cake.  Moby gained more insights about farming from his father. They combined modern technology with age-old practices so that they could get maximum results out of minimum efforts.  End of Part 2

Moby was a farmer's son who wished to develop their farm to gain profits. Moby’s father, Joseph, was a small scale farmer who earned his living by selling his produce in the market. Joseph used to drive his pick up truck filled with produce to the town everyday to sell vegetables, milk, cheese and eggs.  Moby, however, had great ambition to buy farming equipment to double the harvest and produce so that they could run the farm in profit. Moby was looking into buying used farm equipment for a cheaper cost but Joseph had advised Moby against buying such equipment as there was no guarantee of any form whether the machinery would work properly or not.  Moby, before even thinking, gave advance payment to a second hand machinery and happily shared the news with his father. Joseph was shocked to hear the news but didn't react happily towards the news.  The machinery was brought to the farm the next day but it stopped working within a week. Without speaking further, Jenna signed the papers and took it to the courthouse for submission. She also began to pack her things from the house so that she could shift to a rental apartment at the earliest. Within 3 days, she was able to find an apartment and shifted all her stuff to her new place. The house which they were staying in was a rental property and the lease was up for renewal.  Jenna spoke to the property owner and told about her divorce. She also requested the owner to inform Jon about her leaving the property. Jenna's phone began to buzz and “Jon” was flashing on the screen. She answered to Jon who was surprised about her moving out from the place with her stuff. He wanted to know where on the streets she was. Jon stopped coming home all of a sudden. Jenna was sick and had no one to take care of her. She had just returned from the hospital. She became concerned as there was no whereabouts of Jon and started calling him which was ignored. Jon called Jenna the next day and told her that he had moved on with someone else and wanted a divorce. Jenna was shocked to hear this from Jon. She told him that she was down with the flu and needed care and proper rest. Jon laughed at her and pointed out that she needs him to survive as she was jobless and had no money to survive.  Jon boasted that his new girlfriend was very rich and she could provide whatever he wanted. Jenna was angry and heartbroken at the same time. Jon told her that he had kept a signed divorce paper in their bedroom and all that was left was for Jenna to sign it and send it to the courthouse to finalize the divorce which Job demanded Jenna to do.  End of part 2

Jon and Jenna were a happily married couple. Issues between them began to arise as Jenna shared her wish to start working so that she could also contribute to the finances. However, Jon was egoistic and right away rejected Jenna's words. He rudely told me that he could earn enough money for both of them and save some for the future. However, Jon loved gambling.  He believed that some day he could gamble and bring in a lot of money with very little effort put into it. Jenna made a decision to begin work from home so that she could earn decent money and hence made a secret bank account. She began working as soon as Jon had left for his office. She used to work for six to eight hours and then used to clean and cook in the house so that the house was in order when Job had returned.  Jon was never suspicious and slowly began spending more money on gambling but used to lose out on money. Mabel began to focus more on her singing so that she could move on with her life. However, she still used to miss her father who had totally supported her in her singing. He had told her about how he regretted not allowing Mary to sing and pursue a career in the same. Mary was also in despair when she had learned about how her husband had told Mabel about his regret on not letting her pursue a career in singing.  Other than singing, Mabel excelled in her studies and graduated from University with flying colors. As Mabel has formal voice training, she decided to look for opportunities where she could sing. She received various opportunities and sang. Her songs became the talk of the town and people were looking out for the person who had such a sweet voice.  Social media helped in finding her out through her friends and she instantly became a sensation. Mabel had a sweet voice. Her mother, Mary, used to sing occasionally in the church choir and aspired to become a renowned singer. However, Mary's ambitions were cut short as she got married and her husband hated her singing anywhere else other than in church choir.  When Mabel was born, Mary wanted to make her a renowned singer, just like how she had wished. However, Mary wanted to do so only if her daughter had a passion for singing.  Mabel used to sing songs since her childhood as her mother taught her many songs. Mabel wanted to take voice training and singing classes and she conveyed her wish to her mother which made her mother very happy.  Both Mary and Mabel were shocked to their core when they heard that devastating news. Mabel had lost her father who died in a road accident. It was a period of struggle for both mother and daughter thereafter for a few months to settle into their lives. End of part 1

Mary said that she was in it not for the money but saw it as serving the society as it was her passion. Mike assured that she could use the salary she earns on the poor kids and help them out. Dave also reached out to a celebrity chef he personally knew and asked help in designing a new menu and in relaunching the business. The chef helped him out and they came up with a modern and minimalistic menu that could cater to all types and ages of customers.  Word spread out in the city that a famous celebrity chef was helping out in relaunching a restaurant and the crowd rushed in as the doors of “Seasoning” were opened. The relaunch was a success and Dave was glad. Jacob was proud of Dave and told how he realized Dave's passion for cooking when Dave went in the line to work in the kitchen as the pressure of serving dishes swifty was mounting on the staff. Luca once found out that James was missing from home as his parents had called Luca to enquire about him. Luca became doubtful as James had told him about someone following him for a few days. Luca immediately took out his laptop to track James’ cellphone. Luca found out the location and went in search of James. He was in for a shock when he saw James.  A group of men had kidnapped James and had locked him on a chair, trying to hurt and physically abuse and hit him. Luca called 911 and reported the kidnapping. The cops arrived at the scene discreetly as per Luca’s information. They successfully trapped the criminals and rescued James. Luca was glad to see James and immediately informed his parents that their son was safe.  James was so glad to find Luca and was grateful for saving his life.
