Social Service - Part 1

Mary grew up to be a beautiful girl who loved to help others. Her father, however, wanted her to be married into a rich family so that she could live comfortably. Mary wished to help others and loved doing social work, especially teaching poor children to read and write. Her ambition was to own a school where anyone could learn to read and write free of cost so that they could start earning their daily bread and survive.

Mary also loved traveling and wanted to visit various countries to find out how the standard of living was in those countries. She had various opportunities which she utilized and found out that there were many poor and underprivileged kids who had no means to learn and get educated.

Mary once met Mr. Mike while visiting the orphanage and thought nothing of him. She focused on educating the kids there. However, Mike used to observe how Mary taught the kids. He was so impressed by her teaching skills that he asked her to join his school as a teacher. However, she refused the offer. Mike was surprised and asked why she refused the offer. Mary said that her aim was to teach kids to read and write so that they could be self-sufficient and begin earning their bread.

Mike was impressed by this gesture and asked what her ultimate dream was which she explained to Mike. Mike told her that he had plans to open up a school, specially to teach poor kids free of cost as a social service. Mary's interest and curiosity was at its peak. Mike told her that if he would offer a salaried job there to teach the poor kids, would she be accepting the offer?
