In Sickness and in Health - Part 3

Without speaking further, Jenna signed the papers and took it to the courthouse for submission. She also began to pack her things from the house so that she could shift to a rental apartment at the earliest. Within 3 days, she was able to find an apartment and shifted all her stuff to her new place. The house which they were staying in was a rental property and the lease was up for renewal. 

Jenna spoke to the property owner and told about her divorce. She also requested the owner to inform Jon about her leaving the property. Jenna's phone began to buzz and “Jon” was flashing on the screen. She answered to Jon who was surprised about her moving out from the place with her stuff. He wanted to know where on the streets she was. He was confident that she would be staying at a run down apartment and would be looking for basic pay jobs so that she could survive. 

What Jenna told next shocked Jon to the core. Jenna told him about her work from home and how she was earning enough for her to live comfortably. Jon was shocked to hear this and he still said to Jenna that she might be lying. It took Jenna to show Jon her bank balance for him to believe in her. 

Months passed by. Jon's new girlfriend dumped him when she found out that Jon was down with a serious illness and treating him would require a huge sum. Jon remembered about Jenna and her earnings. He called her up immediately and requested for her to take care of him. Jenna laughed at his request. She told him, “ You had taken a vow to protect me during sickness and health but you failed to do so. We are now divorced and are mere strangers. Ask your new girlfriend to protect you. I have a job to do.”

Jon was shocked and realized how worse his situation was. He had betrayed his wife and ignored her when they were married. Now, he has to pay the price for the same.

Jacob grew up in a torn down house with his parents. He lost his house and parents in a flash flood that jolted the entire nation.
