Paul knew the value of money since childhood as he saw the struggles his parents had faced while he was growing up. His father used to work three jobs a day so that he could provide for the family. His mother also used to have a part time job that paid very less but was enough to buy groceries for the house. Pamela, the oldest child in the family, also began working as soon as she was enrolled in college.
The family grew as Pamela (Pam) got married to the love of her life, Manny. Both Pam and Manny moved into their own rented house near to their workplace. Paul was considerate to his parents and wanted to contribute something from his side to the family. Other than attending high school, he began working at a 24 hour fast food joint during night shifts.
When he received the first pay check, he gave most of his earnings to his parents so that they could save up something for them. His parents were proud of him. Meanwhile Pam’s partner Manny was earning pretty well. Pam never even bothered to visit her parents or her brother as she felt that they were poor people. Their mother tried to reach out to Pam but Pam always ignored her mom or ended the call abruptly.
