Build your own life - Part 1

Amanda was born and brought up in a strictly religious family. Her parents were firm believers of God and banned her from various things like wearing modern clothes, preventing from hanging out with friends by nightfall and so on. Amanda had a feeling of suffocation in her life but she was scared to raise her voice. 

Her dad's friend, Mr. Gomez used to visit their house quite frequently for chit chat. However, the main intention he had was to see Amanda and to try and pursue her. She knew about his evil intentions and purposefully made plans or told her mother that she had to study for exams or go to church. 

However, Mr. Gomez came up with a plan. He openly told her parents about his intention to marry Amanda. He said that his parents were getting old and that this could be his last shot at marriage. Amanda's parents found it as a golden opportunity to marry off Amanda to a rich household. 

They forced her into marrying Mr. Gomez. However, Amanda found out that Mr. Gomez had a family with a wife and kids but it was too late. While visiting her parents, she told them about how she found out that Mr. Gomez had a wife and kids. They were initially shocked but encouraged her to remain silent and endure life there. Her parents wanted to upload their values and beliefs in the society and Amanda's intention to annul the marriage or divorce would be a dark spot on their beliefs and most importantly their image in the society. They would lose their respect as well.

Jacob grew up in a torn down house with his parents. He lost his house and parents in a flash flood that jolted the entire nation. He was just 15 years old when such a shocking incident left him devastated.  He roamed around in the nearby town in search of a job, food and shelter.
