Power of Friendship - Part 3

 Tanya was shocked to hear that Mia was in a fatal car crash and was fighting for her life in the hospital. Tanya rushed to the hospital and enquired for updates from the doctor about Mia's health. Mia’s condition was serious. The crash led to Mia breaking a few of her ribs and her liver was only barely functioning as it was crushed under the impact of the accident. All her other vitals were fine but she urgently needed a liver transplant and a few bottles of blood to survive. 

Tanya decided to reach out to people while also signing up for testing to find out if she was the right liver donor for Mia. Fortunately, both of their blood groups were a match and she had cleared all the tests and was the perfect donor for Mia. Without any second thoughts, Tanya told the team of doctors to urgently do the needful and proceed with the surgery. Tanya donated her blood and arranged the remaining blood with the help of her friends and co-workers who were of the same blood group. It was also made sure that those who donated the blood were eligible to do so and were free from other diseases. 

Within a span of a few hours, the transplant was completed successfully. It took almost a month or two for Tanya to recover while Mia’s recovery took a bit longer as she had broken ribs. The investigation followed by the car crash revealed that a truck had rammed into the car as the truck driver was under the influence while driving. The case was in favor of Mia and she was indebted to Tanya who literally brought her back to life due to her swift response to the situation. Strong friendships will remain forever and no force could keep them apart, how hard they try to break the friendship.
