Her parents who were supportive of her until that point decided to take a total “U” turn. They asked her to come up with some other career prospects so that she could survive in the competent world. They even threatened to cut her off from their lives if she decided to stick to her teaching career. Joanne was determined to move forward. She moved into an apartment so that she could focus more on pursuing her teacher's degree. She was working two part time jobs that could help her fund her education as well as cover her rent.
Her parents were furious and decided to take it to social media. They shared how disgraced they were to have her with them until then and thanked God on how they realized she was a bad person. Her cousins and other relatives supported her parents and all of it became the talk of the town. However, rather than some church-goers who mocked her, other people moved on with their lives. Joanne applied for a job while continuing with her social work and part time jobs. One of the prestigious schools in the city was so impressed by her resume that they decided to hire her. She was allowed to continue with the social work she did amidst keeping her job at the school.
The pay offered was great and she decided to donate some of it to the orphanage. The orphanage decided to build a special classroom so that Joanne could visit and teach the kids to read and write. Joanne continued with her efforts and helped many children achieve their dream.
