Being TRAPPED! Part 3

 May never complain or criticize anyone. Ms. K once found out that May was throwing away scraps that were given to her as lunch. May hated the scraps and was throwing it away. However, Ms. K became so angry that she hit May. Another instance of the abuse was to kick May on her stomach as she was eating food after starving for a day. May held onto her stomach and was crying. Having no one to help her out, May gathered all the courage a fourteen year old could muster and decided to run away from the house that weekend when everyone was asleep. 

Her plans didn't work out. May was asked to scrub pots and pans as Ms. K’s husband was planning to bring his colleagues home for dinner. May had to work more as she had more vessels to clean. She was also asked to clean the entire house and keep it spotless while Ms. K enjoyed her spa session and facial at the posh beauty parlor.  

May was asked to sit quietly in her room while Ms. K latched the door. The colleagues visited the house and had dinner. As they were sitting and chatting, May was brought to the kitchen where Ms. K demanded her to clean all the vessels. One of the colleagues lost his way from the washroom and saw May cleaning the dishes. He called out her name and May was shocked. She turned and was shocked to see none other than her brother. 

He ran towards her and hugged her. He asked her whether he remembered her as she was too young back then. She asked her brother, Mike, how he recognized her and he said that she resembles their mother. Mike asked her what she was doing there and it was then May burst out in tears and told everything about her life at the house. She struggled for around two years. Mike was so furious at Ms. K and her husband. 

He demanded an explanation and they only kept on repeating that May was lying through her teeth and she was happy here and was acting otherwise. Mike pointed out how skinny and sickly she looked. He told that he would be taking care of his sister henceforth. 

Thus, the horrible way of living came to an end. Mike told May that she had to focus now only on her studies and that she would get good meals. Mike told her about how distraught he was ro hear about grandparents car crash. Mike was depressed and barely managed to complete his University when he realized about May. He was looking for her but couldn't find her until that day. May was so thankful to her brother for saving her from the horrible people.

Jacob grew up in a torn down house with his parents. He lost his house and parents in a flash flood that jolted the entire nation. He was just 15 years old when such a shocking incident left him devastated.  He roamed around in the nearby town in search of a job, food and shelter.
