Mama's darling son or not? - Part 2

Karen was sad that she couldn't see Sam everyday and couldn't advise Sally on how to manage their life. However, she used to frequently call Sam. Sally was relieved almost instantly as they moved into the new place as she had felt suffocated living under Karen's guidance. 

Sally soon became pregnant and Sam was ecstatic. Karen was so excited that she packed her bags and decided to move in at Sam's place. Sally was not happy with the idea but was patient enough to adjust with Karen. Everyday was tough for Sally as Karen wanted to figure out the gender of the baby. 

Karen boasted that for many generations, there were only boys in their family and she was looking forward to meeting her grandson. Little did she know that all her hopes would be shattered when they found out that Sally would have a girl baby. 

Karen was shocked and suddenly lost consciousness. Sam reached out for medical help and it was immediately provided to Karen. She was in denial and suggested that the doctors might have had some error in guessing the baby's gender. However, all her hopes were short-lived as Sally ended up giving birth to a baby girl. Sam instantly fell so much in love with his baby and was almost inseparable. 

Karen demanded to take a paternity test and Sam felt insulted. Sam told her that he was sure that the baby was his. However, in front of the adamant Karen, Sally suggested that they go ahead with the test so that Karen believed them. The test result came out positive. However, Karen still blamed Sally and began hating her for giving birth to a girl child. Sam was too pissed that he warned his mother that he would cut off all ties with her. Eventually, Sam cut off all ties with his mother. 

Karen decided to reach out once she knew that Sam had a second child in two years, a boy. She called up and apologized to Sally but that ship had long sailed.
