Mama's darling son or not? - Part 1

Sam was the only child of his parents. He was born after his parents did a lot of fertility treatment and always considered him as their golden child. His mother was very protective of him and hated most of the girls he brought home. She used to point out issues with all of them which used to lead to their breakup. 

His mother, Karen, was insisting that she would find the right woman for Sam. Sam was reluctant but still thought that his mother wouldn't go wrong in his case and agreed with her decision. Sally was Karen's bestie’s daughter whom she adored. Karen went ahead and scheduled a meeting with Sam and Sally so that they could chat and figure out their lives. 

Both of them were attracted to each other and began dating. They were soon engaged and married. Karen was so happy that her son agreed to everything she had told. Even Sally was happy to agree with what Karen suggested and included her in every decision they made. 

Life took a complete “U” turn when Sam got a high paying job in the nearest city. However, he had to move to the neighboring city so that his commute was not tiring. Karen was not happy about it but agreed as it was a high paying job with a lot of perks that came with it. 

They found a new house (partially built) that was on the market for sale as the current owners couldn't build the house further as they had run out of their funds. Sam decided to buy it and complete building the place with slight modifications. In a span of few months, the house was furnished and he moved in with Sally.

Jacob grew up in a torn down house with his parents. He lost his house and parents in a flash flood that jolted the entire nation. He was just 15 years old when such a shocking incident left him devastated.  He roamed around in the nearby town in search of a job, food and shelter.
