How complicated are relationships - Part 2

Ashley's parents immediately rushed to the hospital she was admitted to. She was lucky that there were no major injuries. However, a text from Amie surprised Ashley. 

It said that Amie was so glad that Ashley got into an accident. She wished that Ashley would have died from the crash rather than surviving. The nasty text hurt Ashley so bad. She even showed it to her parents. However, after getting the discharge, Amie invited Ashley's parents over to her house to celebrate her parents' anniversary. However, she specially requested to avoid bringing Ashley as she hated her the most. Amie’s parents hated her behavior and wanted Ashley to be with them during the celebrations. 

Ashley decided to confront Amie one day and asked her why she hated her so much now as they were very close friends once. What came out of Amie’s mouth shocked Ashley to the core.

Amie told how she hated Ashley as she was smarter than her. Her parents were always supportive of her and she even opted for attending medical school. However, Amie couldn't get through the medical school. Amie also admitted that she knew Ashley was smart, intelligent and pretty and she even stole all the boyfriends Ashley had till date. She also shamelessly admitted that she stalked Ashley to find out what she is up to and tried to ruin her dates. The last thing Amie wanted was Ashley to be happy. Amie admitted that she felt happy and satisfied when she saw Ashley sad, hurt, depressed or in tears. 

Ashley understood the toxicity level of Amie and made a decision to block her entirely from all aspects of her life. However, Amie had spread various rumors about Ashley in the society. Nobody believed Amie as they knew how toxic Amie was. 

Ashley decided to cut off all contacts with Amie and to never reach out to her ever again in the future.  

Some relationships are better to be avoided so that one could live a peaceful live without any toxicity.

Jacob grew up in a torn down house with his parents. He lost his house and parents in a flash flood that jolted the entire nation. He was just 15 years old when such a shocking incident left him devastated.  He roamed around in the nearby town in search of a job, food and shelter.
