How a bad habit could kill - Part 4

The liver transplantation was carried out successfully. Ruby was recovering from the surgery but was desperate to drink and smoke. However, Alvin told her that the donor was Abby. This made Ruby's heart melt and she thanked her daughter and son for taking care of her even when she was rude to them. 

Ruby promised to both of her children that she would enroll in a de-addiction center as soon as she gets discharged from the hospital. As promised, Ruby went into one of the best de-addiction centers in the city. In a span of 12 months, Ruby was given a clean bill and was sent home. 

Even Though some of her old friends wanted her to host parties and have drinks and smoke with her, she rejected all their advances. She was glad to be with her children and their newly found families. Mr. George was so happy and pleased that his children could finally help in saving the lives of their mother and help her out from her addictions. Even Though she was battling her addictions, her temptations while seeing cigarettes and booze came back strongly. She was able to resist the urge to use them.

Jacob grew up in a torn down house with his parents. He lost his house and parents in a flash flood that jolted the entire nation.
