Mr. Woods was a farmer who used to sell fruits, vegetables and milk for his living. As he was staying in a close-knit neighborhood, he had set up a small shop to sell his produce for money. His wife, Elizabeth, used to sit in the shop to sell the produce while Mr. Woods worked hard in the nearby fields that he owns. Life was going decent for them. They fed and educated their children by saving up the little they had earned. All three kids wanted to get well-educated. They wished to go to the city and study further. However, Mr. Woods was unable to help them to pay for education as he had to take care of the animals and farming along with his kids.
However, his children asked him not to worry as they would find part-time jobs in the city that pays them while they study and pay for their education. Mr. Woods felt bad and used to send a little something to all of his three children. However, his youngest son, Ferdinand, had no interest in any such things. He always wished to stay in the village and help out his father.
Mr. Woods, on the other hand, wanted his youngest son to find a job in the city like his other siblings. Due to the effects of global warming, the climatic changes became drastic. This started affecting the crops. The yields reduced and Mr. Woods became worried for their survival.
