Love for Adventure - Part 2

She was the happiest when the opportunity came and knocked on her door. It was time for her to go on an adventure with her team. This was a golden opportunity and giving up was equal to death for her. 

Her team geared up and all preparations for the adventure were going on in full swing. She met up with her family and told them how excited and worried at the same time she was about the adventure. She wished to conquer Mount Everest but at the same time was worried that she may or may not make it up there or back to her family. 

The initial few days of the conquest was not that tough but as the altitude began to change drastically, the team had to put into effect what they had learned during the preparations for the adventure. They had to set up camps and take proper rest from time to time so that they could refill their energy and proceed with the adventure. 

Most of the team mates gradually fell sick and were camping at different parts of Everest. The final steps were meant to be critical and all She had was one of her colleagues who was well-determined and had similar aspirations like her. Facing various hardships, they managed to climb the top most part of Everest. Mimi collapsed as soon as she was able to stick the flag of her country. However, she never faltered. She helped her determined friend and pulled him to the top of Everest. 

Tears of happiness and various other emotions rushed towards her and made her feel proud and happy. They clicked various pictures, selfies etc. and prepared to descend the mountain. The descent was easier than the climb. However, it was not too easy a task. They had to travel back through the exact path that they had climbed so that they could return back with the entire team. In a span of few days, they returned back and sought the much needed medical attention. 

The above story tells us about a person's determination in achieving their dreams and facing various hardships in order to achieve them. Overcoming the hardships in our life helps us balance out our life and live happily with the people close to us who love us.

Jacob grew up in a torn down house with his parents. He lost his house and parents in a flash flood that jolted the entire nation.
