Elena was working in a corporate firm and had applied for work as she was soon to be married. She had to travel for 8 to 12 hours across the state so that she could reach her hometown from the city where she would be getting married to her childhood sweetheart in a week.
"Are you alright dear? How are your plans developing to travel back home?" asked her fiance, Jon over the phone. Elena was pondering. After a moment's silence, she said, "well.. I was planning to drive from here by nightfall so that I could drive all night and reach home for breakfast." Jon said, "well.. I checked the weather broadcast and it's not looking good… a cyclone storm warning has been issued and people have been warned to stay away from the road and traveling. I can find just one way to reach here… I would suggest you take two connecting trains as possible traffic restrictions on the road might arise.."
Elena agreed and told, "Yes, you are right Jon. I am going to start right now and I would definitely take the train so that I can try and reach as soon as possible if everything goes right." She ended the call and grabbed her bag. She walked down to the nearest subway station, grabbed her breakfast and took the subway to the train station.
In twenty minutes, she arrived at the destination and got out of the subway and into the station. She came to know that there are only a few services due to cyclone warning. She boarded the first train which would help her reach halfway and she will have to take another train to reach her hometown where her mom would be waiting to drive her back home.
She kept in constant touch with her parents as well as her fiance, Jon. Jon was seemingly worried and asked her to contact him at regular intervals just to make sure that she was safe and fine. She had her lunch on board and was waiting to reach the destination.
Unfortunately, the train she had booked for canceled due to rising demand. She was shocked to read the message and thought that she was trapped in the station when a cyclonic storm would rage in the city any time.
