How can we contribute towards wildlife protection?

 Mandy was fascinated by his frequent zoo visits since childhood as his dad worked in the zoo. He wanted to protect wild animals as he understood more about how they were hunted by humans for various selfish needs. He learned more about the importance of wildlife protection as he grew up.

Under the strong leadership of Mr. John, his mentor and a wildlife preservation activist, Mandy learned more about the importance of banning the hunting of wild animals and protection of forests so that the animals would thrive in their natural habitat. Mr. John was of the opinion that wild animals should be set free and should not be kept in zoo behind iron cages for people to pay for tickets and see them as this might stress out the animals and might even endanger their health. 

Even Though Mandy's dad worked in the zoo, Mandy was of the opinion on how wild animals need protection and as long as their needs are well cared for, there is no harm in keeping them safe in zoo as a part of conservation efforts. 

Mr. John and Mandy were informed by a well wisher that they had found a gang of people throwing lit cigarette buds towards the forest area and they were worried if it had harmed some wild squirrels. They immediately rushed to the spot as soon as they heard the news. By that time, the gang had fled the scene. However, in a fraction of minutes, a small patch of fire formed. Thankfully, there was a fire extinguisher in Mr. John's car that came in handy. They were successfully able to put out the fire and thanked the well wishers for informing them. After a thorough check in the area, they found no harm done towards any animals.

The gang was later found by the team led by the local forest ranger. They were arrested and charged for their crimes.

The above story tells us how we can contribute towards wildlife protection. If we find that anyone harms any wild animals, it becomes our duty as a good citizen to inform the concerned authorities about the issue.

Jacob grew up in a torn down house with his parents. He lost his house and parents in a flash flood that jolted the entire nation.
