Daily commute to workplace - How it works out?

Merlin worked at a coffee shop which was a few blocks away from her house. Hence, she decided to use her bike for her daily commute.

Her dad handed over his one year old bike so that it would be easy for her to commute to work. She was the main bread earner of the house as her dad had recently retired from his work. Her aim was to start a small bakery by herself when she had enough savings for the same.

She was not a person who just drove to her workplace and returned back. On the way, she used to always help out people. She used to drop her neighbor's child to school, offer some free food to a homeless person and help an old lady to cross the road.

One day, the bike failed to start. She wondered what to do. Her neighbor understood her woe and he offered to drop off her bike at the mechanic's place while he drove to work. His son was sick and hence there was no need to drop him off for the day. Merlin thought about how she would meet and help the others she used to help everyday. She took a cab even though it was tough to afford it everyday and gave food to the homeless man who was very thankful and happy to see her, even if it was a bit late than usual. She decided to walk to the coffee shop as she could help the old lady on her way.

The poor old lady was waiting by the roadside wondering what might have happened to Merlin. Her face bloomed like a beautiful rose when she saw Merlin approaching her. The old lady asked her how she became late. She had to explain everything as she helped the old lady cross the road.

Sadly, Merlin was fired from the coffee shop as she was too late for work. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she decided to slowly walk down the road thinking of how bleak her future looked.

The old lady somehow managed to cross the road amidst a few motorists shouting and swearing at her for wasting their time. The old lady noticed Merlin and was surprised to see her. Merlin told how she was fired from her job.

The old lady owned a bakery but was on the verge of closure. When she shared her woe with Merlin, she had a great idea. The old woman told Merlin to take this opportunity as a challenge and help her in regaining her bakery business. Merlin agreed and was so excited to start working with the old lady. She gave her freedom to come up with new cupcakes and pastries. In a month, the bakery doubled in earnings. They revamped the interior and exterior of the bakery and the business became a success. The old lady, in return, decided to gift the coffee shop to Merlin as she proved her worth. Merlin didn't stop helping her neighbor and the homeless man.

The above story tells us how people meet various other faces regularly during their daily commute. These faces might be the ones that would help out during danger or when in need. Be thankful and helpful to others.

Have a great day and stay strong :)
