How stealing money from work could put someone in trouble? - A short story

 Taylor was a hardworking bank employee from the outside but no one knew what his intentions were. Due to his hard working act that he put out, he was able to impress the higher-ups within the company. He was quickly promoted from a temporary employee into a permanent one.

He was sure that no one was suspicious of any of his activities. He had his eyes on the money vault in the bank. However, he was working in the area near the vault and this made him one step closer to observe and achieve his goal. He had no one to assist him or help him out as this was a self-made plan. 

He was waiting for the right time one day as he had taken permission from the bank and had left early. This would keep him away from suspicion just as he had planned. When the right time came, he dressed very well, made sure to hide his face behind a mask and walked towards the building. He had observed each and every corner of the bank and knew how to evade the security cameras. As he was breaking the vault, he remembered how rich he could be and live in the lap of luxury just as he had imagined. He successfully stole the maximum amount of money he could and fled the scene. to avoid suspicion, he decided to work for one more week. His plan was to flee with the money he stole and hid after working for one more week.

The police were looking for suspects, fingerprints and so on. Somehow, Taylor managed to work for a week and decided to leave the bank. He met the manager and told, “Jay, I got a call saying that my mom is unwell and is admitted in the hospital. I have to go immediately. Could you please provide leave for me?” Taylor tried to speak as innocently and as worried as possible. 

Jay had been observing all of the employees and people who visited the bank for the time being. He was very suspicious of Taylor and had already reported to the officers. However, the officers decided to observe Taylor to look for any sort of activities that seemed suspicious. Jay’s phone started ringing and he excused himself from Taylor. He soon met the officers outside and told them about how Taylor asked him for emergency leave. 

Taylor saw how Jay spoke to the officers and tried his best to flee the scene. However, the officers caught him who was about to run. Taylor, who was considered the best employee, turned out to be the thief. He had to go through the legal consequences.

Stealing money from work, home or even from friends or relatives is a horrible thing to do. It is a crime and needs to be severely punished.
