Harry is a procrastinator and is terrible at time management. When he is at work, he fails every time to submit the work on time. “Harry, this is the last chance we give you. You have to submit your work on time. Make sure you coordinate with other employees. This attitude you have shows lack of professionalism. There won’t be another warning!”

Harry walked back to his seat and wondered why he was warned like that. “Harry, Did the HR speak to you? Do you understand the seriousness of the matter?” asked TJ who was the manager of the design section. Harry was a fresher who had graduated from design school. TJ, the person who hired him to the company by seeing his interview performance, never thought that Harry lacked time management skills. Harry always thought that TJ was pretty strict with only him. He never bothered to think that he never submits work on time. The excuse he always had was, “Oh! I just started working on that. I need more time.” or “Sorry, I can submit only by tomorrow EoD” and so on.
“This is so unfair. I knew TJ was partial to me but I wonder why he had to snitch about me to the HR. They would fire me if TJ continues to do so” Harry spoke to his co-workers worriedly. One of the co-workers said, “Have you thought that there is a possibility that you were warned because you never submitted any work on time at all?” Another co-worker said, “You can still continue working here if you learn proper time management skills, complete the work and submit it on time!” “I should learn time management. Let me search on the internet on how to do that” Harry spoke as if he was enlightened by his colleagues.

Time management is not just important for people in the workplace. It is essential even when people deal with minute things or situations in life. So learn to prioritize things and complete the tasks accordingly.
