What is conservation of forest and wildlife? How to be a part of forest conservation?

 Conservation of forest and wildlife is a very important and serious matter that requires immediate attention to eliminate the threat of endangerment of various species of plants and animals. Each one of us could help in forest conservation.

Raymond was a hunter who used to explore and kill wild animals. He used to mostly hunt bears, skin them and sell their fur. He even sold the head and nails of the bear in the market for a good price. However, bear skin had the most demand as it could be used to make expensive fur jackets, bags and for many accessories. 

One day Raymond went hunting with his son, Ron as his mates were busy. He spotted a bear from a distance and shot it. He heard the bear growl loudly and thought that it was dying. However, as soon as he reached the area with Ron, he was surprised to find a baby bear sitting beside his mother who was bleeding profusely from the shot Raymond made.  The baby bear was lying down beside it's mother who was struggling to stay alive.

Ron hated hunting since his childhood and has tried telling his father how bad it could be for the animals. Ron was educated and knew that his father's "profession" would pave way to endangerment of bears. However, Raymond never bothered to listen to his son.  

Raymond said, "Shoot the younger bear and take him with us. I know a gentleman who would pay well to get his hands on a bear cub to stuff it in his house. I will take care of this bear."

"How can you be so cruel dad? This cub just lost its mother. Can you even imagine how it would be if we were in this situation? What would you feel if someone else shot your mother and you are just a small child who is helpless? Can you think how helpless and distraught this cub would feel without his mother? " said Ron.

Each one of us should relate to what Ron felt. Conserving wildlife is as equal as protecting mankind. Just like wildlife, plants in the forests are also rare. If we destroy the plants in the name of modernisation or development, an entire species gets endangered. 

We must put all efforts to save and conserve forest as well as wildlife around us.
