Motivating Short Stories

They found out the address and decided to visit Nyla. They knocked on the door and it was opened. Both of them were shocked at the sight they saw. They were unable to recognize the pale faced woman who looked tired and worn out. Tears started rolling down from her eyes. She immediately recognized her siblings, Nina and Nathan. She welcomed them inside.  Nathan was curious to know why Nyla has not reached out to them yet properly. Nyla tried to evade and tell that everything was fine but Nathan understood that she was lying. Nina asked her sister to share everything she was facing and that they would definitely help her out now that Nathan is a cop. Nina grew up amidst her siblings. She was the youngest of the five siblings and her eldest sister took care of her rather than her parents. They were both busy working so that they could provide for the big family. The four sisters and a brother used to spend time playing in their backyard. However, the eldest of them all, Nyla,  had the responsibility to take care of all the others, cook for them and to send them to school.  Nina was in middle school when Nyla got married. All of the family members were happy but Nina was crying in the corner. Her sister saw this and asked her what the problem was. Nina considered Nyla just like her mother and never wanted to stay away from her. However, Nyla consoled her and told her that she would visit her frequently.  Years passed but Nyla  never visited. Jason said that he was planning to run away from the house. He also asked his mother to accompany him as he knew that his father would torture his mother upon hearing Jason's intentions.  Jason saw how his mother was being treated since his childhood and it was not a good picture. He knew that he should help out his mother to have a comfortable and good life. Jason and his mother decided to leave the state and settle down in the countryside where he believed that his father wouldn't follow them. Jason even found a house for rent, drafted the rental agreement and was ready. In the wee hours of morning, Jason and his mother began their journey. Jason grew up under the strict control of his father who worked for the army. His mother, on the other hand, was the purest soul he could have ever met. She used to scold Jason when he did bad deeds and used to also appreciate and encourage him to do good.  It was clear that Jason preferred to be with his mom under her care and loved when his dad went back for work purposes. The time he used to dread was when his dad used to return back from the army to spend time with the family. However, during holidays, he used to travel to his grandparent's house to spend time with them.  There was a strong reason for all that fear. Elena was discussing the situation with her mom and she soon heard an announcement. It said that the last train towards her hometown would depart in five minutes and that further services have been temporarily ended due to a storm warning. She was relieved to hear the same. She immediately rushed into the train along with many others following her.  She was able to book the tickets online as she tried again. The train departed and she felt relief wash over her. The train was speeding faster than usual as they had to reach the destination at the earliest and avoid the storm at all costs. She consoled her mother and told that the train was speeding away from the city where a cyclone warning had been issued. When the train stopped at the next station, most of the passengers got down. They had boarded the train so that they could avoid the cyclone and reach the next safest place.  As the nightfall began, her train safely arrived at her hometown. Elena was working in a corporate firm and had applied for work as she was soon to be married. She had to travel for 8 to 12 hours across the state so that she could reach her hometown from the city where she would be getting married to her childhood sweetheart in a week.  "Are you alright dear?   Soon, Rosie had her litter of 6 kittens. Karen was overjoyed. Rosie was a first time mom and was doing very well for her kittens. Karen had a sleepless night when Rosie was having kittens so that she could comfort the car whenever she was in pain.  Rosie's vet visited her and took the cat as well as her litter to get them checked that there are no issues. All of them were given a clean bill of health. The neighborhood kids were so anxious to see Rosie and her kittens. Karen welcomed them and allowed them to see the cat and her kittens from a distance. She told how Rosie might freak out seeing the kids near her newborn kittens.  One morning, Karen heard loud barking and walked into her backyard to see the cat house and their play area on fire.
