Importance of saving lives - Part 5

Time passed. Both Tom and Harry married close friends, just like them. Tom's wife, Bella and Harry's wife Anna were close friends and grew up next door in the same village. Both Bella and Anna heard about Tom and Harry during the fire incident. They saw Rom and Harry during the community event where they were awarded with medals by the mayor for their bravery. Bella and Anna grew up in the town. Even though all of them studied at the same community college, both Bella and Anna were into stitching and fashion. They dreamed of opening up an apparel shop together where they stitched dresses according to the orders they received.  Over the period of time, they met Tom and Harry and fell in love. They shared their dream to open up an apparel shop where they could stitch and sell dresses for women and girls so that they could also contribute to the financial aspect of the families. Tom and Harry agreed and thought that it was a great idea. They helped their wives financially to set u...

Importance of saving lives - Part 4

The mayor personally invited both Tom and Harry to his residence for lunch to thank them personally. Mayor requested them to bring their immediate family so that he could meet and thank them personally. Both Tom and Harry's parents were proud of their children. During the lunch, they shared about how they were friends since childhood and how they grew up to choose different professions but still were thick friends.  The mayor even told them how they were doing a great service by saving the lives of people. He was thankful for saving the life of his entire family and told them that they were welcome to visit the family any time and could ask him help with anything in the future. He even offered to provide better jobs to them but they politely refused and told how they enjoyed their own jobs.  Tom and Harry told how their other colleagues too helped out in saving their lives and how they equally deserve the praise. The mayor told them that he was planning to award and honor the ...

Importance of saving lives - Part 3

The girl's father came running teary-eyed and grabbed her from Tom. He was so happy and relieved that his daughter was fine. However, he was worried for his wife when he heard from Tom about her condition. Harry was trying to stabilize her condition in the emergency room. The girl's father was concerned about his wife as she was pregnant. Harry was informed about the pregnancy and he decided to rush the woman to the hospital and provide better care to both mother and child and thereby monitor them closely.  It was Harry's timely action that helped the pregnant woman save the baby's life. When they carried out a check-up, they found the baby to be in a critical condition. Urgent medical care and close monitoring helped the woman as well as the baby recover from the ill effects of the tragedy. The doctor conveyed to the family that Harry's timely action helped in saving the baby from getting miscarried or from other harm.  The family was thankful to both Tom and Harry...

Importance of saving lives - Part 2

While Tom had to endure burns and breathing issues during his initial training phase as a part of his job, Harry had to undergo a different ordeal where he was getting shouted at by senior nurses, doctors and sick cancer patients who were exhausted. However both Tom and Harry knew that they had to endure such issues and took it as a part of the job they did.  Both of them were hard-working in their own fields. They had to face many occasions where they had to work together as a team to save the lives of people. Once, there was a fire at the community hall. The fire and rescue rushed to the spot and began their work. Tom had rescue duty and he had to rush inside with his colleagues by wearing thermal suits. He found heartbreaking situations where a child was separated from her mother and was crying in a corner. After saving the child, Tom rushed in to find the mother of the child, lying unconscious in the lobby area filled with soot and smoke. Fire began engulfing the area as soon a...

Importance of saving lives - Part 1

Tom and Harry were classmates and close friends. They grew up as Neighbors since childhood and went to the same school. Their parents were close too as they used to hang out quite often and cook interesting food. Tom was always welcome at Harry's home and vice versa.  Both of them were the only child their parents had so they had many similarities in life. As they lived in the countryside, both their parents owned their own ranches and earned their livelihood by selling milk, cheese and other dairy products. They also trained horses for races (under a partnership where both Tom’s and Harry's parents owned equal shares) where rich and influential people used to drive down to buy well trained mares for races. Both sets of parents used to share the profit equally and this continued for a long time.  As time passed, both Tom and Harry completed their school days. Tom decided to enroll in a community college to learn psychology while Harry wanted to be a nurse and went to the neare...
