Motivating Short Stories

  Mr. Wilkinson was angry and thought that Harry had left home to be with his girlfriend and her family. The reason for Mr. Wilkinson’s anger was an email addressed just to him from Harry. However, the mail was sent from a random id. The email stated that Harry left the family to be with his girlfriend and her family. It also stated that he might even end up joining the mafia. There were also threats addressed to Mr. Wilkinson. Mr. Wilkinson knew what to do next. He called over his elder son and asked him to reach out to his friend who works under the cyber crime investigation wing of the police department.  They filed a complaint regarding the email so that the entire family would be protected. A team of officers were immediately assigned to protect the family.   Mr. Wilkinson’s youngest son, Harry was unmarried but was in a relationship. Unfortunately, the entire family disapproved of the relationship as they disliked the family of his girlfriend who had links to the mafia. However, Harry was so smitten with his girlfriend that he refused to back down from the relationship. Mr. Wilkinson felt that this was a matter of serious concern and planned to discuss the same with the family following dinner that night.  As Mr. Wilkinson had planned, he spoke about how he disapproved of Harry’s relationship and the reason behind the same. All the other family members agreed with Mr. Wilkinson except Harry. He was adamant that he would get married only to his girlfriend and no one else.   It's rare to say these days that family bonds always stay strong in most families. However, some families still give importance to staying in touch with each other so that they can understand what's going on in each other's lives and help them out of a difficult situation or appreciate their achievements and success.  Wilkinson’s family was one such family that gave importance to close-knit relations between the family members. Mr. Wilkinson was a business magnate who had a luxury restaurant chain across the country. He has four children and they also had kids. Mr. Wilkinson was particular that the entire family had dinner together and following the dinner, they had discussions about the day’s achievements, issues and all matters related to business as well as personal lives. This is a closely knit relation as parents and children form a basis of family.
