Motivating Short Stories

Solomon's hard work brought the results he was looking for. He was able to save up more money and decided to buy a new fishing boat which he had dreamt of. Once he bought the fishing boat, his life began to change. All his dreams of owning a business began to come together.  He opened up a shop that sold varieties of fish. The business became profitable and Solomon started living a comfortable life with his parents. His success knew no bounds. He offered franchises of his business and that too turned out to be quite profitable. Sam and Mary were proud of their son and were so glad that his business had taken off in the right direction.  It didn't take much time for the tragedy to strike. Sam’s was a fisherman family who mainly survived on the income from selling fish. They lived near the harbor and had a decent house for themselves. Sam had always wanted to own a fishing boat of himself one day. Hence, he was focusing on saving up whatever money possible.  Sam lived with his wife, Mary and son, Solomon. Solomon always wanted to pursue graduation and do business. However, their financial situation hindered Solomon from doing so. Sam worked hard and helped his son in achieving his dreams. Solomon also worked two part time jobs so that he could earn enough money and complete his graduation.  Mary used to work at a cafe nearby and their life was just scraping by. Solomon graduated and decided to do business but needed more funds. His father and mother collected their entire savings and handed it over to Solomon who was not happy with the decision. Maybel got the biggest shock of her life when she came to know that her husband was hospitalized and was critically ill in hospital. She rushed to the spot and decided to use up all their savings on his treatment and surgery.  Her husband recovered following the treatment but was unable to work as he was still weak to work. However, Maybel continued to take care of the ranch and used to earn a meager sum from selling various things. Her husband also helped her out by managing the website where they had to take orders for online delivery of the products to various grocery stores and supermarkets.  Fortune never favored Maybel as she was shocked when her husband suddenly passed away. Maybel decided that she needed to do something else so that she could survive. She began tutoring various kids everyday and earned quite a good amount of money. Maybel had lost her parents at a young age. She was taken to an orphanage by a few of her relatives as they couldn't bother to take care of her or take up her responsibility. However, they were successful in grabbing the entire wealth her parents had worked hard for.  Maybel grew up with few of the other children. She used to go to school with them and later on accompany them to the community college. She fell in love as soon as she graduated and got married. Her husband was a truck driver and owned a ranch in the countryside.  Life was unfortunate to them as they never had any kids of their own while their neighbors and acquaintances had kids. They never had a lavish life initially and used to save up most of the earnings. Maybel began cultivating crops, taking care of hens and cows at their ranch so that she could also earn money by selling the crops, eggs and milk.  End of part 1

  Mr. Wilkinson was angry and thought that Harry had left home to be with his girlfriend and her family. The reason for Mr. Wilkinson’s anger was an email addressed just to him from Harry. However, the mail was sent from a random id. The email stated that Harry left the family to be with his girlfriend and her family. It also stated that he might even end up joining the mafia. There were also threats addressed to Mr. Wilkinson. Mr. Wilkinson knew what to do next. He called over his elder son and asked him to reach out to his friend who works under the cyber crime investigation wing of the police department.  They filed a complaint regarding the email so that the entire family would be protected. A team of officers were immediately assigned to protect the family. Unfortunately, the entire family disapproved of the relationship as they disliked the family of his girlfriend who had links to the mafia. However, Harry was so smitten with his girlfriend that he refused to back down from the relationship. Mr. Wilkinson felt that this was a matter of serious concern and planned to discuss the same with the family following dinner that night.  As Mr. Wilkinson had planned, he spoke about how he disapproved of Harry’s relationship and the reason behind the same.
